Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial

As the only armed forces memorial erected while the conflicts were ongoing, the wall memorial is a unique living monument. This is a sanctuary where loved ones come to honor and remember these fallen soldiers.

The design of the addition and visitor center is a continuation of the existing wall panels, creating a peaceful environment between the memorial walls and the Illinois River. The procession moves into the building, culminating in a grand view down the river. The four frames of the building stand for the four branches of the armed forces. Inside, an information kiosk and displays extoll the sacrifice of our soldiers and inform the visitors of the mission of the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run.
